La Sergue

STORY OF A TRILOGY

La Sergue is a special cuvée.

A benchmark of the appellation, La Sergue* is a story of three distinct vineyard sites in Lalande de Pomerol: La Mirande, La Margaux, and La Pignière. It is a blend of three grape varieties: Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Malbec, harvested at perfect ripeness, vinified in large oak casks and separately by terroir, then aged in barrels before being blended to reflect the unique characteristics of each vintage.

La Sergue thus synthesizes the quintessence of the vintage from each of these locations. Forged to withstand the test of time, it undergoes further aging in the bottle to allow it to fully express itself.

  • Image of wine and name of a plot, derived from the old French (nf 1360) "Serge", designating a fabric, derived from the popular Latin "Serica", silk fabric and from the Latin "Séricus", silk.
