OUR HISTORIC AND EMBLEMATIC CUVEE

Château Haut-Chaigneau* is made from a judicious blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc from different types of terroirs, all located on molasse but more or less gravelly with the presence of "iron pan" typical of the appellation.

The quality of the terroirs used, the balance of the blend combined with careful vinification and aging, allow the production of a wine notably recognized for its finesse and elegance and its superb development during bottle aging.

*from "Haut" because located on the highest point of the "Chaigneau" or "Chagneau" plateau, old French derived from the Latin "Castanea" meaning the presence of an oak (or chestnut) forest in the Middle Ages in this place.

Winemaking and aging

Vintage produced using agro-synergy.

Traditional and particularly careful vinification. Moderate barrel aging (25% new wood) to achieve a perfect balance between expressive aromas, silky tannins and easy tasting.
